swatched and casted on 2/15 for a sock project to work on during Madrona.

The afterthought heel backfired on me, I put it too deep into the foot and they looked like clown socks, they were so long! Considered leaving them as tube socks, but decided to rip back the first heel and try it more shallow, and that worked better. Still a little big, but they will be nice for around the house.

I enjoyed the heart cable, I used cabling without a cable needle, and the yarn was a little splitty for that. I adjusted things a little to make the numbers come out how I wanted them – so there is an extra rib as it gets towards the top of the sock.

They match my betiko 🙂
