Cast on in train to Madrona! Top border: garter, 5” tall. Wedge: used for social knitting and did much further than necessary. slightly asymmetrical! Main section: began striping with the lavender yarn – 4 rows of lav, then 2 rows of main Bottom border: garter, 2 1/4” tall. striped with the lav yarn changing colors…
A small clutch that needs lining and hardware still. Seed stitch edges with a slight cable. 2/24: The knitted fabric blocked wonderfully straight. Leslie provided some slightly modern fabric with the same green in it. May need a black cord for the top where the fabric meets the hardware. Finished lining and stitching up, July…
making a dress length version with sleeves (?) plus a headband for Leah using the cable motif.
I found some self-striping yarn in my stash to join in on the Stockinette Zombie’s self-striping knit along for 2022. Using yarn that had previously been a shawl that didn’t work great for me! And then, being me, I’ve been expanding the shawl to be bigger based on how much yarn I have left.
swatched on several diff sized needles, and the larger swatch was so much more helpful to see this new technique. short rows are rockin’.
