Learning to double-knit. Used two strands of different multi-colors. Cast on with two strands held together and then started double-knitting. Bound off with two strands on the wrong side to have the same effect on the border. Improved decreases by rearranging stitches as in cable-needle-free cables. Making these for my niece. Update 2/18/08: Frogged and rerolled the yarn for my stash.
Knit with Willow held double until 40g remained. Knit with Willow and Yarnings until Willow is gone (65 remains in Yarnings) Knit with Yarnings held double until 35g remained, but start decrease rows midway through at 50g – actual was 47. Frogged August 21.
This is another prototype dishcloth that I’m working on for potential publication for the pattern.
