This is a top down, set in sleeve opening, open front flowing vest, using a Fade-like concept to transition between colors.
using math from The Handy Book of Top Down Sweaters by AnnBudd and the measurements I used that fit well from the Meris.
starting with Wisteria, held double, for the top of the shoulders. Then switched to holding it single. Doing a combo of stockinette and linen stitch.

Cast on in train to Madrona! Top border: garter, 5” tall. Wedge: used for social knitting and did much further than necessary. slightly asymmetrical! Main section: began striping with the lavender yarn – 4 rows of lav, then 2 rows of main Bottom border: garter, 2 1/4” tall. striped with the lav yarn changing colors…
Rather than using a variegated yarn, I had red and white so I made stripes for the corners.
gauge in size 8 instead of 6. Planning to knit a vest instead of sleeves. The edging color is Kitty Pride Fibers sport weight base (this base of theirs is not in ravelry) from Rina. Worn for Halloween 2020.
made 2 scarves from 1 skein; one is shorter without crochet border.
Tried several ideas for using this slippery ribbon in a project and settled on this 3-D grid idea. It will also get flowers placed on the grid when it’s done.
