Prototype for a shawl with dropped stitches. Inspired by the colorway name “Decay”, the pattern shows an urban skyline that may be decaying from the earth after an apocalyptic event. Deep and full of colors, the yarn fit the whole idea perfect.
Knit with handspun Sun Valley and their DK base to go with. Planned to continue handspun as far as needed instead of just in the yoke. Did not decrease in the underbust, but added more increases. Adjusted to use two colors and did both colors on the edge for a fancy transition. Provisional cast on and kitchnered together. first try was too small, so that was saved for Liam’s baby.
Gradated from full sized Queen Anne lace to small to make a showpiece out of one side of the scarf. Listed on Etsy on 2/26.
