I made a set of potholders for my mother-in-law for just a nice gift for letting us come and stay at their house for a week.

I started out with size 7 needle and k1p1 knit and it was too dense so I switched to size 10 and it was perfect. I taught myself to knit continential with this scarf. When gifting this, I made a flower to tie it up, and that turned out very pretty.

I made two dischlothes with this pattern for my sister Lisa – one with the Playtime colorway exclusively. I did most of the knitting on this one in the airport and airplane while flying to San Francisco. Then I made a second one by casting on Playtime and switching to Daily Ombre for the rest…
I modified this pattern to be smaller since he was a preemie. I also carried a strand of Bernat Softee to make it use more of the color out of the booties that went along with it as a gift. I omitted the pompom and the top looked beautiful without it.
A quick knit because I needed them for a baby shower. This was my first time using very small needles, and my first time making booties at all. They turned out good, even though I accidentally modified the pattern slightly!
This is a long term project, with a goal of having every square use a different pattern by use of stitch dictionaries and improvising. There will be a total of about 10 different colors in the same family for the squares, and then each square will have a knitted border around them in another color….
Rather than using a variegated yarn, I had red and white so I made stripes for the corners.
