Started toe-up, with Judy’s magic cast-on and 12 stitches; increasing up to my standard 72 before starting the lace pattern from Cotty. Hope to do a toe-up gusset heel to make it match.
Started to work on the night of book sale setup (had to be at the mall for extra hours). Two socks on two circs. Using Riverbed + Fleegle Heel + a herringbone stitch + lace on the foot and sides. Heel, toe, and cuff will be purple. Hope to use a picot hem with eyelets…
gauge is 6 st/in, between fingering and DK on needles in between those as well. Casting on the fingering size 12mo and it will just be slightly big so she can wear it longer probably doing short sleeves.
This was SUCH a fun project. Making all the small pieces was fun, and even sewing it together was easy. A little time consuming, but not hard in front of the TV. I’d certainly make this again if there were a special little kid in my life who liked Turtles! My only modification from the…
