Prototype for a shawl with dropped stitches. Inspired by the colorway name “Decay”, the pattern shows an urban skyline that may be decaying from the earth after an apocalyptic event. Deep and full of colors, the yarn fit the whole idea perfect.
This pattern is the Silence Tee by Ruth Nguyen and it was so pretty. It was a good chance to try a yarn base that was summery in Knit Picks Lindy Chain. We’ve had an extra hot summer here, and that influenced my choice! When I saw the colors available, Rouge and Conch jumped out…

I started out with size 7 needle and k1p1 knit and it was too dense so I switched to size 10 and it was perfect. I taught myself to knit continential with this scarf. When gifting this, I made a flower to tie it up, and that turned out very pretty.
