start mid-October for travel socks! yarn from Angel. CO 14 JMCO, increase every other round to 32, knit 5 rows even and increase one more time to get 34. somewhere gain an extra stitch for 35 😀 knit to 7.5” total foot length. 2 rows before heel, increase to 37 on sole, then one row…
improving to be toe-up. toe is upside down, using kfb as the increases. Added a few extra stitches to the bottom of the foot to account for the slightly lighter yarn. heel will be garter short row (see http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/garter-toes)
A quick knit because I needed them for a baby shower. This was my first time using very small needles, and my first time making booties at all. They turned out good, even though I accidentally modified the pattern slightly!
This was knit as a sample for the IDP program with one of the new colors of Chroma Fingering. The colorway is Guppy, and it certainly had a Little Mermaid feel to it (my husband said he kept getting “Under the Sea” stuck in his head!). The color transitions are beautiful with the drop stitches!…
