doll-sized wren
Using the basic structure of my Wren Shawl, I made a little one as a gift for a friend who loves dolls.
Leftover yarn from my very first “real” socks.

made 2 scarves from 1 skein; one is shorter without crochet border.
Started toe-up, with Judy’s magic cast-on and 12 stitches; increasing up to my standard 72 before starting the lace pattern from Cotty. Hope to do a toe-up gusset heel to make it match.
Wanted something that would work as a baby dress this summer and then be a tunic as she gets older. Adjusted the pattern to work in the round, be more full of a dress, and have ties instead of shoulder straps. Lace is slightly askew on part of the skirt but it’s not too noticeable….
holding two deep stash yarns together – brown sheep wildfoote and then either Knit Picks Shine Sport in Fuschia or Silver for some really basic stripes and and all over “sprinkle” design!
yarn from the first ZK I attended!
