Gift of some yarn from a sweet friend. first knitting on chiagaoo interchangeables. a little curly but amazing! after both lower wings, used 61g of the 200. (39 left in first ball) 73g left after bind off to make short socks.
used the remainder of the magrathea beads and some of the yarn. knit as long as I could with the beads and then changed to a plain I-cord. picked up stitches on cast on edge and did a short I-cord there for easier tying as well, as I didn’t have a clasp. will wear on…

to match the Rosewater hat. base on http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-fingerless-… 2aat with twisted rib on top and bottom, regular rib throughout, reverse stockinette on thumb. can always pick up at base and work downward if extra yarn remains.
