Breezy Rainbow
Looking for a nice open-front cardigan. I had the Contented Cardi by Hannah Fettig (happy home) that I made back in 2014 and it’s a bit too small now, but I loved this style. That one doesn’t go up to my current size, and it’s worsted weight, which I couldn’t wear as much of the year as a lighter-weight yarn. Enter the Breezy Cardigan by Hannah Fettig.
I have some deep stash Black Trillium Fibres Pebble minis in Steampunk Rainbow that I fell in love with, and some of the same base in the Air colorway to stripe with it. This is a total of 2020 yards. My gauge is just a teeny bit looser, so I’m knitting the 54.75″ size, hoping to get away with a slightly shorter body and elbow-length sleeves.
Intending on using Air for stripes, the edging around it all, and the sleeves, so the rainbow can be the star of the show on the base. 6 rows of the rainbow color, 2 rows of the air.
Alternating skeins one stitch after the first increase marker so the edge stitch isn’t so floppy. Then when I come back to the 2nd row of Air, I’ll slip the stitch to hide the striping a little.
