Almost done to use at Disneyland, but the finishing work didn’t quite make it. Crocheted the sides together with the strap. I wanted to wear it across my front, but the strap is just slightly too short. So now I have to decide if it will be a gift for someone or if I take…
I modified this pattern to be smaller since he was a preemie. I also carried a strand of Bernat Softee to make it use more of the color out of the booties that went along with it as a gift. I omitted the pompom and the top looked beautiful without it.
Learning to double-knit. Used two strands of different multi-colors. Cast on with two strands held together and then started double-knitting. Bound off with two strands on the wrong side to have the same effect on the border. Improved decreases by rearranging stitches as in cable-needle-free cables. I found some self-striping yarn in my stash to join in on the Stockinette Zombie’s self-striping knit along for 2022. Using yarn that had previously been a shawl that didn’t work great for me! And then, being me, I’ve been expanding the shawl to be bigger based on how much yarn I have left.
