I’m making these for a library basket which will be auctioned off to raise money. Started September 6th. I have not yet decided what to use for the coordinating color. I may just use a carrying weight fur but only on the outside rather than as a lining. I’m teaching myself to cable without a…
For Katy in some KP yarn, maybe worsted instead of sport. In red, grey, black, whites. Maybe a little shorter and skinnier than the example. Finished 9/3, just need to weave ends in and document the info here! Even though it was a little tedious changing colors on every row, it was an interesting knit.
Worked on during January Thaw 2020 trip! Made longer.
Used some 2 ply fingering weight remnant yarn from Heather. Knit 7 of them, 1 was wonky!
Started out doing bottom up with plans to kitchener, but then my cast on wasn’t as pretty as I liked, so I flipped it on end and seamed up the cast on edge for the top. did several tack stitches to define the ears. It’s a little loose after wearing all day, but not bad….
finished the first diagonal stripe and found it would be hard to do the short rows after the stripe two at a time (2AAT). hibernating while I decide if I want to do them one at a time.
