mitts and a hug
special set to use my handspun Abalone colored fiber from Unwind Yarn Company (Dana, @craftygirl83) in Polworth and BFL Swirl plied together for an #unwindspinalong with MicheleStitches.
mitts – custom to reach below the elbow with cable detail and a hole for the thumb. crochet around thumb area for a nicer edge. worked in the round, then balc and forth, and in the round again.
hug – matching small scarf/neck warmer. cast on with larger needles, stockinette, garter, and ribbing. moved to smaller needle for rest of ribbing and bind off. crocheted on top and bottom to give more weight and keep edges from curling.
