tau’ri

knitting for the Stockinette Zombies KAL.

I started with the name taurii for a clever play on the pattern’s name Gemini and my actual April 25th sign of Taurus. But then I said it outloud and knew what it sounded like! From the Stargate Wiki entry “Tau’ri”:

Tau’ri was the term used by the inhabitants of the Milky Way to refer to Earth and human beings from Earth.

I am a Taurus, and people under this sign have earth as their element. Coming around full circle? 🙂

Will update these stats as I go along – I did some info gathering because there are a TON of helpful comments within Ravelry.

My upper-bust measurement is 40. My washed and dried gauge is 21.5 on size 4 needles. The pattern calls for a 4” negative ease and people comment even beyond that, the neckline is too loose. Casting on with size M (144 st) and will increase near the breast area, then decrease for empire waist, then increase greatly for flowyier skirt. 2-color version.
