Holiday Treat Moduloncho
Strawberry Shortcake themed mini skeins for a holiday treat!
With the 9 mini skeins (10th is Angel Cake and was reserved for the edging), started with the darkest and worked my way through the rainbow.
- Purple Pie Man
- Huckleberry Pie
- Blueberry Muffin
- Apple Dumplin
- Lime Chiffon
- Lemon Meringue
- Orange Blossom
- Raspberry Torte
- Strawberry Shortcake
Knit the front and back (Panel A) at the same time from either end of my mini skein balls (about 15 garter ridges depending on the yardage). The final color at the top was less ridges to be able to use that on either side of the neck. The Plum Puddin’ was used for the accent color at the neck, and then as the welt on either sides on the color block.
Increased the height of the neck with several rows a little so it would have more space for my size and comfort level.
After the welt, knit the sides 2 at a time to optimize yarn usage. 3 ridges of Angel Cake to make the welt pop.
And then striped these colors until nearly done with Plum Puddin’ and then 3 more ridges of Angel Cake before using that to do the i-cord. I don’t think I made it to quite the number of rows for the sides in the pattern because my front and back panels were longer.
For about half of the i-cord, used the scraps of the rainbow to do a colorful edge and use that last little bit of the colors.
Lots of ends to weave in because of my mods, but worked on it during ZKN chats to make it more joyful.
