Wooly Socks for Leonard IV

Found yarn in my stash to make some quick socks to match the outfits I got Leonard IV for his 2nd birthday.

Started with one sock using Lion Brand’s pattern, (Knit Child’s Solid Socks)pattern, but my gauge was too tight and so they turned out too small. I started again using Magic Loop to do two at a time and cast on more stitches until it looked the right size.

This was my first try with magic loop, because I didn’t have 2 pairs of #5 needles to do 2 socks on 2 circs as I like best. Magic loop is a little more fiddley IMO to move the needles around, I’m more comfortable with 2s2c at this stage.

These will be a little big so they can be worn as warm house socks rather than in shoes.

I improvised them to be toe-up on magic loop with figure 8 toes and short row heels. The toes, heels, and cuff were in Avecado with the foot and leg being Wood Print. The cuff ended with a 2×2 rib.
