knit picks shimmer in dragonscale plus remaining slate silver; to go with STee
Used most of the ball of self striping and added some of my solid white. Made one cloth using the color as the inside of the blocks and the other as the outside. These knit up so quickly!
Cast on at Purlescence the week of thanksgiving when I bought the yarn. Dubbed it “Neontastic” colors before the skein was even wound. Knit on the rest of the trip, with a few false starts on the patterning I wanted. Curved around a line for interest, reinforced the ball of the foot. Added Fish Lips…
This is a long term project, with a goal of having every square use a different pattern by use of stitch dictionaries and improvising. There will be a total of about 10 different colors in the same family for the squares, and then each square will have a knitted border around them in another color….
used less than a skein, but the end of the skein was underspend perhaps from being ripped too many times.
First try at toe-up socks, so far, I’ve just finished the short rows (wrap & turn) for the toe. I’m still deciding if I’ll add a pattern with some lace or not. Update, 7/9. I’m working on this sock really slowly. It’s what I carry with me when I want something to knit out out…
